In 3S, we really enjoyed our trip to Lunt Fort. The Roman soldiers that guided us around the fort were very smart and knew a lot about Romans.

When we first got there, the Roman soldiers were waiting for us with spears and made us give them a password before they would let us in. They had to make sure that we weren’t the enemies!

We then looked around their mini museum and got to touch and try on a few Roman artefacts. One person got to try on a Roman costume and we all passed around the parts so we could feel them. The chainmail was very heavy!

In the afternoon, we marched to the arena where we were equipped with a belt, shield and sword. We learnt a few positions before we fought the enemy. We crashed into our opponents shield and then used our shield to strike theirs. Overall, it was so much fun and we all laughed!
